Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Nahalio ("Nahalio," "we," "us," or "our"), a church management platform provided at nahalio.com and its subdomains (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the church or organization you represent ("Organization" or "you").

1. The Service

Nahalio provides tools for churches and similar organizations to manage people, groups, attendance, child check-in, communications, events, giving, and related administrative functions. Each Organization's data is kept in a private, isolated account accessible at its own subdomain.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an Organization account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions, Billing & Free Trial

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance based on the plan tier selected at signup. New Organizations receive a 14-day free trial; a valid payment method is required at signup, and your card will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial-month refunds are provided except where required by law. We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice.

4. Your Data & Your Responsibility as a Church/Organization

You control the data you and your staff enter into the Service about your members, attendees, donors, volunteers, and children ("Member Data"). As between you and Nahalio, you are responsible for having the appropriate legal basis, consent, and notices in place with your own members and congregants to collect and share their information with us, including any information about minors entered through check-in or forms features. Nahalio processes Member Data on your behalf and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any law; send unsolicited bulk communications unrelated to your Organization's legitimate ministry or administrative purposes; upload malicious code; attempt to access another Organization's data; or interfere with the Service's normal operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Online Giving & Payments

Donation and subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Nahalio does not store full payment card numbers. Funds donated through your Organization's giving page are deposited directly to your own connected Stripe account, subject to Stripe's own terms and fees. Nahalio is not a party to the underlying donation transaction between a donor and your Organization.

7. Intellectual Property

Nahalio retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service, its software, and branding. You retain ownership of your Member Data. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, we may retain your data for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy before deletion.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nahalio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Nahalio harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your Member Data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated to Organization admins by email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
